Many large and small UK consultants and public bodies have made TUFLOW by a country mile the most popular and well used 2D hydraulic modelling software in the UK. Bill Syme, the TUFLOW Author and Manager, will give a one day presentation about the pros and cons of 2-D modelling, the importance of dynamically linking with 1D channel and pipe networks and the capabilities of TUFLOW.
The presentation covers data requirements for 2D modelling, and how to set up a 2D model from scratch using layers of GIS data. Interesting worldwide applications will be used to demonstrate the many benefits of using 2D models, including examples from the UK and Australia. Bill will also give his views on the future challenges for river and coastal modelling. Potential attendees are advised that advance booking is required and that numbers are limited. Based on the growing list of UK licensees this is likely to be a well attended event.
There is an opportunity to attend the TUFLOW UK User Group Meeting on the 6th November 2007.
