The interactive desktop is the heart of the SOFTPORT program. The desktop allows the user to follow the progress of the simulation. Vessels entering and leaving the port are shown on icons representing the waiting area, channels and berths. Information boxes give the status of all the relevant areas of the port and can be displayed as necessary. Summary running statistics for each berth are at the bottom of the page.
